Unethical fitting of animal
exhibits. Unethical fitting
includes administering–
internally or externally – any
substance and/or performing any
surgical procedure, that alters
the animal’s conformation and/or
renders its tissues unfit for
human consumption at the time of
exhibition, including, but not
limited to, the use of steroids,
growth promotants, or any other
such substances, and including
the cutting, tearing or gluing
of the hide or underneath the
hide, or removal of tissue in an
attempt to alter the shape of
the animal. Exceptions are hoof
trimming; dehorning; removal of
hair; manipulation of normally
attached hair; and treatments or
surgical procedures applied to
relieve pain and suffering of a
sick or injured animal, provided
such treatments do not render
the animal’s tissues unfit for
human consumption.
Determination of Fraud &
Deception
The following procedures will be
utilized to ensure no fraud or
deception occurs during the Hoosier
Beef Congress:

and Deception Official
(“Official”) for each Hoosier

determine if fraud and/or
deception occurred prior to or
during the Hoosier Beef
Congress. All decisions made by
the Official will be final.
-
The top five placings in each
livestock class and any suspect
animals may be required, upon
conclusion of judging, to submit
to examination or tests as
prescribed by the Hoosier Beef
Congress Committee.
Penalty
Once the Official or the Hoosier
Beef Congress Committee has
determined that fraud and/or
deception occurred, whether such
determination is made prior to,
during or after judging, any or all
of the following penalties shall be
imposed:
-
The exhibit in question will be
immediately disqualified.
-
Any or all of the exhibitor’s
entries at the Hoosier Beef
Congress will be disqualified.
Subsequent violations of fraud
and/or deception shall dictate
no future participation in the
Hoosier Beef Congress.
